TEMPORARY RESIDENCE PERMIT
Are you planning to apply for a temporary residence permit in order to study at the Polish Language Institute? You are entitled to do so if you meet the conditions below.

See which documents you must submit to the Department of Foreigners' Affairs of the Mazovian Voivodeship Office along with your application for a temporary residence permit based on studying at the Polish Language Institute:
- 4 current colour photographs, undamaged, 45x35 mm size;
- a valid travel document (2 photocopies of all its pages with stamps, annotations and entries, the original for inspection);
- confirmation of payment of stamp duty of 340 PLN to the account:

- certificate issued by the educational institution about the admission or continuation of studies, course, education or vocational training, indicating the date of commencement and completion of studies, training, course, education, training, type (full-time/extramural), field of study, year, semester, level and the amount and terms of payment;
- a certificate issued by the educational institution on the amount of tuition fees for the entire period of education or training, and in the case of studies, the current academic year and the subsequent semester;
- a certificate issued by the educational institution stating how often classes are held (on what days and at what times) and the foreigner's attendance record from the beginning of the classes to the present time;
- schedule of classes;
- a proof of payment of tuition or training fees, indicating the date of payment of tuition or a part of it (in case of starting or continuing studies, a course, paid training);
- confirmation of health insurance within the meaning of the Act of 27 August 2004 on health care services financed from public funds or confirmation that the insurer has covered the costs of treatment in the territory of the Republic of Poland - valid for at least 3 months from the date of issuance of the decision;
- documents confirming an assured place of residence in Poland, e.g. lease agreement, lending agreement, confirmation of registration, hotel certificate - valid for at least 3 months from the date of issuing the decision;
- documents confirming sufficient financial means to cover the costs of living (minimum 600 PLN net per month per person in a family or 776 PLN in the case of a person running a household alone / from 1 January 2025 - 823 PLN and 1010 PLN) and the return journey to the country of origin or residence or the costs of transit to a third country which will grant a permit of entry (200 PLN if the foreigner arrived from a country neighbouring the Republic of Poland, 500 PLN if they arrived from a European Union Member State which is not a neighbor of Poland, or a member state of the European Free Trade Association, 2500 PLN if they arrived from a country other than those specified above and the costs of studies/academic courses;
in case of a subsequent application for a temporary residence permit: documents confirming the previous purpose of stay in the territory of the Republic of Poland, including documents confirming the fulfilment of the obligation under Article 113 of the Act on Foreigners, i.e. informing the voivode about the termination of the reason for granting the previous permit.
A residence permit may be granted for up to 12 months. The application examination time is about 6 months.
